How it works
Step 1- Enquiry
Drop me a line or give me a call and I will send you some easy to answer questions about design, rough measurements and timeframes. Once those are answered I can give you a provisional quote and idea of my schedule.
If you are happy with the estimate and lead time then it’s time to secure a spot in my diary.
Step 2- Consultation
Once you are provisionally booked in we can arrange a voice or video call.
Here I will get a feel for your business, what look or feel you are aiming to achieve and any ideas you might have.
We’ll also plan any additional steps, like when I will pop round to measure up for example.
Step 3- Design and Mock Up
Whether I am designing the sign or working with an existing design I will always create a scale mock up so you can be sure that the sign you receive is what you want.
I’ll create the design by hand wherever appropriate, adding custom flourishes and accents. The mock up will often be a computer generated image to give you a really good idea of the finished sign.
Revisions can be made until you are happy for me to get making!
Step 4- Time to get making
Once the design is finalised I will fix the quote, order the materials, and create your template.
Then I will either build and paint the sign in my studio or pack my sign box and scaffolding tower and travel to you to hand paint your sign.
If I am posting or delivering the sign to you, I will let you know when it’s ready so you can arrange its installation.

If you would like me to paint an existing design, I am happy to do that but I do also carry out a full range of graphic design services and love designing the signs I paint.

Yes I supply my own paint and I include that in the price of your sign. I use an extremely durable signwriters enamel and in most cases this can’t be substituted but I can totally mix it to match any colour.

Yes, very much so. I use the very best signwriter’s supplies that will last better than many alternatives.

I will bring a little scaffolding tower, it fits in my boot and it’s much sturdier. It reaches up to 3.8m
